This policy explains what Synoppy (“we”, “us”) collects when you use synoppy.com and the Synoppy API, and how we handle it. We aim to collect the minimum needed to run the service.
What we collect
- Account data — your email and authentication identifiers, created when you sign up.
- API usage — the endpoints you call, timestamps, credits consumed, and the URLs you submit, so we can meter usage and debug issues.
- Billing data — handled by our payment processor; we store your plan, subscription status, and a customer reference, not your card details.
- Standard logs — IP address and request metadata, used for security and rate limiting.
How we use it
To operate, secure, meter, and improve the API; to provide support; to process payments; and to send essential service messages. We do not sell your personal data.
Content you submit
When you call the API with a URL, we fetch that public web page and return processed content to you. Page content is processed to fulfil your request and is not used to train any model. We retain request metadata (not full page bodies) for a limited period for debugging and abuse prevention.
Service providers
We rely on a small set of vetted subprocessors to run the service — cloud hosting and database, a payment processor, transactional email, and model-inference infrastructure for AI features. Each processes data only on our instructions.
Data retention & security
We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. API keys are stored only as salted hashes — never in plaintext. Access is restricted and encrypted in transit.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your account data by emailing support@synoppy.com. Deleting your account removes your profile, keys, and usage history.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be announced on this page with a new date above.
